Overview
The battery device supplies power and control to the pod or cartridge. Its connection, output and charging design must match the intended cartridge; similar dimensions do not prove compatibility. For branded pod ranges, also compare the grip, finish, indicators and pack contents. Agree the device-and-pod version before sampling so replacement stock remains easy to identify.

Start with cartridge interface and electrical parameters. Check mating geometry, contacts, activation, and the intended pod together. A slim pod battery stick may suit a compact presentation, but similar shape does not prove compatibility.

Compare power settings, charging interface options, and indicator or display options together. Choose simple indicators or a display according to the required user feedback and controls. Assess runtime using the approved configuration and intended use conditions.

Choose exterior finish, activation arrangement, marking area, and pack presentation together. Consider grip, pocket handling, cleaning, and shipment protection. Confirm fit and body dimensions separately from the finish selection.
